Lucy has 20 years of experience working with infants and children. She has a keen interest in early infant and childhood development particularly in high risk infants such as those born preterm and those with neurological impairments. She undertook her Paediatric Training Program at The Royal Children’s Hospital and worked in the areas of neurodevelopment and early intervention for a range of paediatric conditions. She has worked in Neonatal Intensive Care Units at The Royal Children’s Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women. She has had teaching roles within physiotherapy department at The Royal Children’s Hospital as well as contributing to delivering professional development tutorials, lectures and presentations in Australia and overseas.
Lucy went on to complete her Doctorate at The University of Melbourne in 2013 focusing on motor development in children born prematurely.
Lucy is passionate about working with infants and young children and optimizing their development in collaboration with families.
She enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Exercising in nature helps to keep her calm and happy.
