Angela Serong is a Senior Physiotherapist with 20 years’ experience in Paediatrics. Angela worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Royal Children’s Hospital for fifteen years working with babies and young children with a range of conditions She has also worked in specialty clinics such as : Neural Tube Defect Clinic, Orthopaedic Spina Bifida Cinic, Orthopaedic Outpatients, Bone Health Clinic and Plagiocephaly Clinic.
Angela has a Master’s Degree in Public Health as well as in Health Management and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Chronic Disease Management. Angela is a Clinical Advisor to the Victorian State-Wide Equipment Program for paediatric walking aids, wheelchairs, specialised strollers and seating for children.
Angela is an Auditor for the Australian Physiotherapy Association for their Professional Development Programs. Angela is involved in teaching and supporting other Physiotherapists who are new to Paediatrics.
Angela is passionate about advocacy, engagement with local services and maximizing the health and functional outcomes for babies, children and young people, their caregivers and families. Angela brings a unique perspective as both a Health Professional and as a sibling and carer. Angela is sensitive in her approach. Angela develops programs that are fun, play based and goal focused.
Angela enjoys sports, swimming and going to the football .
